About

blox-cyclistsBlox Apparel is a Christchurch based company specialising in quality custom team apparel made in New Zealand.

Blox was conceived in early 2006 by Paul Kircher, after he was driven to desperation trying to purchase custom printed team apparel to advertise his sign writing company Vis-Com Total Sign Solutions. While sitting down one day and thinking about the process of customised apparel printing, Paul realised how closely related it was to what Vis-Com were already doing with sign writing. With his creative background, Paul believed that there must be a demand for quality, custom designed and printed cycling apparel. With out a company name, patterns began to be drafted and designs started to be produced.

Now all Paul needed was a name for the company. In 2005 Paul was able to fufill one of his dreams, to participate in New Zealand’s premiere cycle tour the Tour of Southland. It was during this time that Paul became familiar with 3 favourite sayings of the tour winner. One of these sayings was going blocks which translated means – going hard form the start. This also describes how Paul likes to ride. Blocks also depicts the steps to achieving success and a winners dais. With a creative change in spelling, Blox was born.

The result is a great range of garments designed by cyclists for cyclists who appreciate the need for performance clothing to perform well, be comfortable as well as look good.
